-  Your trust is imperative...  In every step along the way.  We are building a relationship - and communication is our greatest tool.  The process is this - plan + create + document + treasure.  Each point will strengthen the final product - and the end result will be something priceless and tangible.  Our planning prior to our time together will be like a bunch of first dates...  We'll connect and get to know each other.  We will create an atmosphere - heavy with details.  When shooting - we encourage purposeful actions to create genuine emotion and authentic moments.  You will be nervous - understandable so!  We promise to give you gentle direction, and guide you when needed.  We will take our time, and the session will be very relaxed.  Sessions will run anywhere from 1 - 3 hours.  We promise to highlight the dynamics of your relationship - as we see it unfold.  The only thing we ask is that you show up - with no expectations.  Be open.  And be willing to love.  Because love alone is worth the fight, don't you think?

+  WHAT TO WEAR?

-  It is very important that you feel comfortable and relaxed during our time together.  Your clothing should blend, it should look like an accent - and highlight who you are. This will be something we storyboard in our initial planning meeting.  The most important rule to remember when choosing clothing is to choose items that make you feel beautiful.  Think clean, organic, simple, romantic...  Go all out or stay super simple.  Just make sure your style is reflected in your choices.  Make sure your color choices for everyone blend or compliment, but never match up perfectly.  Splurge - and plan a date afterwards.  Or pack a picnic and stay a while.  Make this a special, memorable occasion.  For families - let the littles wear their favorite things, or nothing at all.  Babies photograph best in the nude.  For maternity, choose items that are neutral and accentuate your curves.  Our purpose is to capture you - at your most beautiful.  Clothing should be the after thought.  Let this inspire you - https://www.pinterest.com/wovenstudios/imagery/.  and here  --  https://www.pinterest.com/wovenstudios/dressed/

+  HOW ARE THE LOCATIONS CHOSEN? IS THERE A FEE BASED ON THE LOCATION?

-  We will spend time talking about your special relationship, and decide together what best suites you.  This can be a favorite destination, your home, or somewhere you've never been.  We go exploring often, and look for beautiful places to have a meaningful portrait experience...  Places to make memories.  Please keep in mind, travel and some venues require an additional photography fee - but this decision will be discussed prior.  

+ WHAT IS AN HEIRLOOM COLLECTION...  AND WHY DO WE NEED ONE?

- Heirloom collections include a combination of prints with custom framing options, storybook albums, custom cards and encaustic art. For archival purposes, a small resolution copy of the digital negatives is available a la carte OR with the purchase of some heirloom collections.  We are committed to the longevity of your story...  our purpose is to help you leave a lifemap...  for all who love you - and for those who want to know you, the real you, in the years to come.  That said, we do not provide collections with a digital option only.  We thank you for trusting us to tell such a significant piece of your story, and look forward to creating a timeless art collection that will be treasured for generations.  

+ WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION?  HOW SOON CAN WE EXPECT THE EDITED IMAGES TO BE COMPLETED?

We have a clean, romantic approach to our editing, and combine a good mix of color and black and white.  We love to let the story tell itself, and our choices are based on what allows those moments to shine through.  Attention to detail will be given to every image chosen.  When possible - we love to send you a sneak peek.  Respecting your privacy, you will be the first to see what we've captured.  The process usually takes about 3 weeks to completion.   At that point, you will receive an emailed link to your private gallery - which may be shared privately or publicly.  If you have purchased the digital download option, you will have immediate access from your gallery.  We encourage you to select favorites from within this gallery, so that we may assist you in your decisions.  You will then have 30 days to make your final decisions regarding the printed portion of your collection.  Collections are available online for up to 1 year.  You may opt to have your gallery extended for an additional $10 per month.  Storybook purchases will receive the first design within those first 30 days.

+  WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES REGARDING EDITING AND RETOUCHING?

We are committed to showing you just how beautiful you really are...  and just how amazing your love is.  We feel very strongly that heavy editing will only prohibit you from fully appreciating and accepting your beauty - just the way it is.  Therefore, our editing is very limited.  We are more than happy removing anything that is not there permanently, such as bruises or blemishes.  Please discuss your concerns with us personally prior to your session date.
