Encaustic painting is one of the earliest forms of art dating back to ancient Greek and Egyptian times.  It employs imagery, heated beeswax, and layers of pigment.  This beautiful process ranges from simple to complex, and should best be enjoyed in person.  No two are exactly alike, and the texture is what makes the finished piece truly unique. 

This piece should be displayed on an inside wall, away from direct sunlight.  Comes ready to hang, or display on a shelf.  Keep out of heavy traffic areas.
